Ever wonder what happens to all those tools people bring back to the store? Most are for simple defects like faulty triggers, brushed, a loose wire or similar issue. These tools are sent back to the factory and in turn repaired – in other words, reconditioned. Once these repairs are done, these tools are as good as new – maybe better since they are thoroughly inspected and tested before going out the door for the second time.
These tools are usually not sent back to the original store, but distributed to companies that specialize in selling reconditioned tools and they are usually sold to these companies at rock bottom prices. However, after receiving my order, a ROTOZIP for $35, and a top of the line Dewalt screw gun for a mere $59 I was blown away – these tools looked like new and worked like new and they came with a warranty. After that, there was no looking back, if I could get the tools I wanted reconditioned, that is where I would buy them!
